MD5 have recently added another forensic product to their portfolio. Forensic Software is unique and specifically aimed at the educational sector. The program's objective is to help prevent and monitor anti-social, bullying and criminal behaviour in schools.
The e-safety of children in schools is a key area for concern and a huge responsibility for the Head and Governors of any educational establishment. ICT resources are a powerful learning tool and the explosion of technology is hugely positive but comes with new risks.
The Every Child Matters agenda demands the safe-keeping of children. Directives emerging from government agencies are urging schools to look at not only filtering solutions, but also ways of monitoring and tracking what children are doing when using their school's ICT technology.
A recent deployment of this software was to Oakbank School. Commenting on Forensic Software, ICT Manager Mike Hanscomb said "No other program can give us such a complete picture. Forensic Software is also a great deterrent, letting users know that they will always be caught". Mary Hide, Marden Lodge School, was also impressed. She said "This software quickly identifies any e-bullying or predatory questions in e-mails or message boards".
This latest software enables MD5 to extend their knowledge and services to the educational sector that they already provide to law enforcement and corporate clients.
